About Us

History

Pindari Centre is a venture that has sprung from a long and successful history in Outdoor Education. Its founder Barry Rodgers OAM, an experienced educator, has a passion for seeing families sharing adventures together in the great Australian outdoors. He is married to Gwenyth and has four children.

He is the founder of the Emu Gully Adventure Education Group, Helidon, which has run highly successful Adventure Camping programs for schools in Queensland for 25 years including 19 years on this unique 2270 acre property bordering the Pindari Dam in Northern New South Wales.

He is also a pilot, and is a life member of the Australian Light Horse Association and led the “In the steps of the Light Horse Tour” to the Middle East for the centenary of the charge on Beersheba in October 2017.

Governance

The oversight of the Pindari Centre is provided by a board of experienced educators and community leaders

Child Safety

Pindari Centre has a comprehensive Risk Assessment and Management (RAMS) system for activities. All instructors and support staff have the appropriate working with children clearance.
