Methodologies (long stay programs)

Students are immersed in the daily routine of an “experimental boutique” working farm set on over 2,000 acres on the Pindari Dam in Northern NSW. Accommodation is supplied in comfortable rooms with ensuites. Although under constant supervision, students are involved in a program that develops self-reliance and personal responsibility. For example, students prepare their meals in the well-equipped commercial kitchen. Some programs can have a nationally recognised Certificate 3 or 4 provided by a Registered Training Organisation. All students on completion will receive the Pindari Certificate of Attainment.

Depending on whether students are enrolled in the 4 week, 20 week or 40 week Gap year program the following is a typical daily program,

  • 0630hrs Wake up
  • 0730hrs Breakfast
  • 0830hrs Morning reflections
  • 0900hrs Farm and project duties
  • 1230hrs Lunch
  • 1300hrs Lectures or field activities including a mandatory outdoor adventure education segment at the beginning of the program
  • 1700hrs Break
  • 1800hrs Dinner
  • 1900hrs Night activity
  • 2130hrs Lights out
